The Dube City Vision
Sites will be made available to developers through long-term notarial leases. It is intended that leases will be for a period of 30 to 45 years. The Master Developer’s preference is for leases of a period of 30 years, but may consider lease periods of up to 45 years depending on the nature of the developer’s proposal.
Development Plan
It is intended that the development process will involve 6 stages:
Stage 1 • The Master Developer issues the Proposal Call
Stage 2 • Developer submits its Preliminary Proposal
Stage 3 • Conclusion of Memorandum of Understanding
Stage 4 • Developer’s Final Proposal submitted
Stage 5 • Agreements finalised
Stage 6 • Construction
Phasing
There will be three phases of development. The first phase of development includes
- Main axis roads
- Pedestrian boulevards
- Dube Square, the heart of Dube City consists of an urban amphitheatre and stage, water features and restaurants, that will be the meeting place for people from around the world.
