SA Express has adopted Dube TradePort as its Southern Africa route base.
The decision will result in SA Express aircraft and aircraft parts being based at King Shaka International Airport, together with a full complement of staff, engineers and flight crews.
SA Express will begin its Durban-Southern Africa route operations in July this year, flying into Harare, Zimbabwe; Lusaka, Zambia; Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gaborone, Botswana; Maputo, Mozambique; and Windhoek, Namibia.
Fully operational SA Express routes, serving SADC destinations are set to prove attractive to international carriers, including Emirates, seeking connectivity beyond Durban.
