Emirates Airline will from 01 June this year upgrade the aircraft-type it’s currently flying into Durban’s King Shaka International Airport.
The airline will convert from the present A330-200 to a Boeing
777-300 ER.
The move will allow Dube TradePort to receive and dispatch an additional 100 passengers and an extra 20 tons in cargo volume per flight once the new aircraft-type has been introduced.
It is widely envisaged that the change of aircraft-type is a precursor to the doubling of Emirates flight frequency to and from Durban’s King Shaka International Airport.
