MUT benefits from Dube TradePort’s bursary programme

17 April 2015

Dube TradePort Corporation has funded Mangosuthu University of Technology engineering students with bursaries to the value of R 576 790 over the last two years in an effort to ensure that underprivileged students are able to get the prerequisite qualifications to enter the specialized field of engineering.

Thami Chiliza, who is among the first group of sponsored students, said he was able to perform better because he didn’t carry the burden of finding means to pay his fees. “This recognition will push me more towards achieving excellent results and towards a bright future,” said another bursary recipient Shongani Mbatha.
