Dube TradeZone Plan

Opportunities

Dube TradeZone exists to accommodate a wide range of tenants from various economic sectors, inclusive of logistics, warehousing, manufacturing and distribution, freight forwarding, and the like.

Dube TradeHouse Facility:

This building, which is directly connected to the Cargo Terminal, houses freight forwarders and shippers.  Dube TradePort is looking for tenants to fill units as they become available. For more information regarding Dube TradeHouse and it’s current tenants, please click here.

Development Opportunities:

All sites within the precinct are fully serviced and level, requiring developers only to connect to such infrastructure as water, electricity and storm-water drainage. Stands here are particularly - though not exclusively - appropriate for enterprises requiring air cargo connectivity, inclusive of those operating in the following sectors:

  • Freight forwarding and aviation services
  • Warehousing and storage
  • Logistics and distribution
  • Light manufacturing
  • Assembling
  • High-tech industries
  • Automotive industries
  • Clothing and textiles
  • Cold storage
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Electronic manufacturing

Dube TradePort is making available long-term leases, negotiable up to 49 years, with an option to renew. Lease terms may vary according to the type of development undertaken and bulk factor utilised. Prospective tenants requiring built-to-suit options are invited to discuss their specific needs with Dube TradePort.

The organisation also has developers that are seeking tenants for their developments within Dube TradeZone. Contact us should you have any enquiries.

Current Developments:

Dube TradeZone's sold-out Phase 1 comprises 47 stands.

Phase 1 is home to Dube TradeHouse – a one-of-a-kind facility where freight forwarders and shippers are located in a single establishment, with direct access to the Cargo Terminal via an airbridge.

A portion of Phase 2 was brought forward as a result of the demand shown for Phase 1. This 5-hectare site is referred to as Phase 1b, though ultimately, it will form part of the greater 43-hectare Phase 2 project.

Future Developments:

A future development and natural extension of Dube TradeZone is Phase 3, which will be developed through a Joint Venture between Dube TradePort Corporation and Tongaat Hulett Developments, bringing on-stream a 135 hectare site with an estimated available bulk of some 536 000 square metres.

Dube TradeZone 3 is intended to be a high-end industrial development, potentially accommodating a small business park, offices and commercial facilities, such as retail outlets, warehousing and showrooms, together with light manufacturing and service operations.

Further developments will be located southwest of the precinct, bordering Verulam and the Umdloti River respectively.
