Dube King Shaka Trail Run 

The inaugural Dube King Shaka Trail Run was held on the 4^th of November 2012, the event saw 231 runners and walkers participating in a route which took them off the beaten track through the land around Dube TradePort, King Shaka International Airport, Tongaat Hulett as well as through Mount Moreland, with the start and finish point being in Dube City. First to cross the line for the men’s 30km was Eric Ngubane at 1hr 41min, with Trish Bahlmann taking the number one spot for the women’s race in 2hr 21min. In the 10Km race Sandile Lembatha took the victory in just 41 min, and Kristy Glass secured the number one spot in the women’s race in 51 min, with Thembile Qhangisa winning the 10km walk in 62min.
